H2O Pure Plus - HEALTHPrototype aims to end Legionella outbreaks. H2O PurePlus® Health is an easy to install in-line application designed to eradicate water-borne bacteria, including Legionella pneumophila, the cause of the deadly global Legionnaires Disease, from commercial and domestic cooling systems.
Prototypes of the H2O PurePlus® Health system have been installed on a number of commercial building cooling towers and tests prove extraordinary water cleansing and sanitation results. The H20 Pureplus® Health systems utilize the latest biofilm eradication technology to eliminate the build-up of bacteria and other harmful water-borne agents from cooling towers and water storage facilities. The need for the use of chemicals to maintain water quality is significantly diminished, if not eliminated altogether. The consistent minimization of biofilm in cooling towers removes the life support of what is commonly known as 'grazing grounds for protozoa, thereby diminishing the intensive use of toxic and corrosive chemicals. Extremely low bacterial counts, low protozoal counts, and low Legionella counts meet the criteria for the Cooling Tower Institute Guidelines for the safest of situations in the treatment of water in cooling tower applications. The bioclean technology, delivered by a simple ionizing rod, is integral to each H2O PurePlus® Health system and is continuous, inexpensive, and durable. It requires minimal to no maintenance and is not injurious to pipes, rubber parts, and even more importantly to humans. It represents the newest, best, and most complete solution to the toxic issues that promote the growth of Legionella in cooling tower waters worldwide. The bioclean rod technology is a patented capacitor, which electronically disperses bacteria and mineral colloids in aqueous systems, eliminating biofouling and scale without the use of chemical additives. Colloids in water systems become components of the capacitor and receive a strong boost to their natural surface charge, altering double-layer conditions that govern particle interactions. Bacteria are unable to attach, absorb nutrition or replicate into colonies. Existing biofilm hydrates excessively lose bonding strength and disperse. Biofilm, biocorrosion, and scale formation are arrested.
